Thank you for your interest in our online presence. The protection of your personal data is very important to us. Here we would like to inform you about the privacy policy in our company, which efforts we make to protect your data, as well as what information we collect and how we use it.
You can visit our site through a secure connection: https://www.fotoarray.com
We treat your data to the best of our knowledge and belief. Unfortunately, even when using the secure connection, we can not guarantee that third parties will not be able to intercept your data and misuse it.
fotoARRAY, fotoARRAYRAW and the fotoARRAY File Browser do not transfer data to servers on the internet for their operation. The catalog, the previews and the images stay on your computer. There are four cases in which the programs contact a server, and each of them is started by you:
For the activation of a license and for the 14 day test, the program sends the license code, an anonymous system ID and, for technical reasons, the current IP address to our license server in Germany. For the license administration we store the date and the number of activations for each license key. An activated program refreshes its activation at most once a week when an internet connection is available; this transmits the same data. Without connection the license stays valid. If you request an extension of the test period, your e-mail address is transmitted and stored to send the extension code.
The support dialog in the program creates a support ticket on our ticket server in Germany. It transmits the text you enter, the e-mail address you give for the answer, the program version and, if you tick the option, the recent lines of the program log. The log contains file names and paths of your images. Please check it before you send it. Tickets are stored until the request is closed and are deleted after one year.
fotoARRAY can check if we posted an update to the program. Doing so it does transmit the version number but not the license key or a machine identifying parameter.
The map pane loads map tiles from a tile server on the internet. Each request transmits the coordinates of the map section you look at and your IP address to that server. The positions of your pictures are not transmitted; the map is drawn on your computer. If you do not want this, do not open the map pane, or use the offline map data of the PRO package, with which the map works without connection.
The sharing function of the PRO edition opens a web page in your local network. It is served by your own computer. Nothing is sent to us.
For the operation of the website, as well as logistics, we rely on external providers. These external service providers receive from us only the information they need to perform the service. By law, these service providers are required to ensure that personal data that they process on behalf can only be processed in accordance with the instructions of the client.
For our newsletter we use a European provider. You may add yourself to our mailing list and unsubscribe from it at any time using a link in a respective newsletter.
Our live chat is hosted on our own server.
Basically, you can access the WPCubed web pages without giving any information about yourself. However your visit to the website and every download of a file will be logged. These are the access data which will be recorded:
A personal reference is usually not possible and is not intended. The stored information is used to optimize the content of the website. The data will not be merged with other data sources.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6 I b DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or pre-contractual measures.
Google Analytics is not in use. The website is hosted on servers in Germany. We do not use cookies to track our visitors, they are only used as far as it is necessary for the technical functionality of the website (see later).

Licenses are sold through Paddle. When you click on the buy button, you are forwarded to the checkout of Paddle.com Market Ltd., which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle collects the data that is needed to process the order and the payment. The name, the e-mail address, the country and the ordered product are returned to us for the electronic delivery of the license and for accounting. We receive no information about the payment method used, apart from the choice of the payment method itself. The Paddle checkout is subject to a separate privacy policy: https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy.
After the order you receive a license code by e-mail. We also ask you to activate this license, see above. About our customers we store the e-mail address, the address as far as notified, the acquired licenses, the activation history and the payments for accounting and billing purposes.
The download information, as well as direct order invoices, we send to customers by e-mail. Infrequently customers may receive important information which we believe is in the interest of the customer. Please let us know if you do not want to receive an invoice by e-mail.
You have the right to have data that we process on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract, in itself or to a third party in a standard, machine-readable format. If you require the direct transfer of data to another person in charge, this will only be done to the extent technically feasible.
If you want to know what information we have about you, please write to support@wptools.de.

If you have your data deleted, your customer account will be anonymized and then blocked so that no conclusion can be drawn on your person or company.
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke an existing consent at any time. An informal message by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the state data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is based. A list of the data protection officers as well as their contact data can be taken from the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.
