The new release fixes some problems with import of images: JPEG files were not imported when they were accompanied by XMP files.
Further more the synchronization was enhanced. New keywords, rating and color labels are now synchronized. When an external XMP file was changed, the next time when synchronizing, fotoARRAY can detect the change of rating, color or keywords and update the settings in the database. If the values were not changed, updates made in fotoARRAY itself should remain intact. This is important, because fotoARRAY uses different color labels (there is no standard), enhanced rating (-9 to +9) and hierarchical keywords (which are not implemented in many programs).
With the key F8 you can start a new method which writes XMP files. This feature is in beta test, so we have disabled the possibility to update existing XMP files. It will only write new files. Please mail samples of your existing XMP files to info@fotoarray.com so we can make sure that our update routine does not remove information from th9ose files.
